Graduation Weekend

I mentioned I was going to be in Baltimore last weekend, but I never said what for. Well, it was for Mr. D's graduation. Second degree under the belt, on to the next one. Even though he graduated in December, he had to go back and walk last weekend.
My Saturday started at 4:00am and ended at about 12 midnight. It was a super long day but it was a great time celebrating with hubby. Since it was in Baltimore and most of his friends are down there, we decided to have a joint get together with one of his friends that was also graduating. That went very well and worked out nice.
It was a little uncomfortable to start with, being that it was at his friend's house and all his family and friends dominated the place, but once Mr. D's guest started arriving, and everyone started mingling, it got better. I tried my best to pay extra attention and carter to Mr. D's guests but as you can imagine, I missed some people because I only found out after they had left that they were there for him. I felt so bad because I saw them seating quietly the whole time they were there. Thankfully, I ran into one of them later in the evening and was able to apologize.
To cap it off, when we arrived back home, both of us exhausted, hubby pulled me aside and said thank you. I replied for what, and he said for coming and being supportive. It was sweet that he acknowledged that, but it's a no brainer and I would do it again in a heart beat if I have to.
Congrats love

  2. Congratulations to Mr. D o! I guess I need to extend it to both of you since you are one. The last bit about thanking you for moral support was so cute. It's nice to know it, but it's even better to be openly acknowledged. Your outfit was quite simple. I really like that color. It reminds me of spring/summer.

    1. Thank you, thank you! Yes o, makes you feel better when it's openly acknowledged. Even though I shrugged it off and was like oh babe it nothing. I was feeling very appreciated inside.

You're right about the outfit, I tried to keep it simple and not over shine the celebrants....hehe
