Hi Loves!
Its been a while, so dropping in to say a quick hi. I think it's safe to say posting will remain sporadic until my helping hands and photographer joins us.
Took a trip back to NJ a couple of weeks ago and it was great to see hubby and friends. Usually hubby will make the trip but since it was around Eliana's birthday, we decided we'll go and use that opportunity to have a small get together for her to celebrate her 2nd birthday. I'm glad we did because she had a great time with her friends.

Wore this dress while we were down there. I love everything about it. If I could, I've had every dress made by Chi chi London hanging in my closet. The dresses are so feminine and delicate and structured and bold and, I'll stop here. lol. Currently eyeing this ones here and here.
I get excited these days when I get to dress up or wear anything that doesn't include a pair of pants. Pants are mandatory for my job now, so all my dresses and skirts are laying low for now.
Have a great week!

Hello Lovelies!
Hope you enjoyed your weekend.
Ours was cloudy and rainy coupled with the fact that myself and Eliana are both battling cough and cold; makes sense that we spent the weekend at home with lots of snuggles and tea.
Here's to a full recovery, bright and fulfilled week.
Have a blessed one.

Gift Ideas For a Two Year Old

So my little sweet Eliana is turning two in less than a month. I feel like things are moving so fast when it comes to her.
I thought about what we could get her that will be useful and not just clutter up the house and theses are some of the items that ended up on my list.
I'm sure the clothing and shoes are no surprise. Fall is pretty much here so she's in need of a new fall wardrobe. This Windowpane dress is just darling, I couldn't resist and for the price, there was no need to. Paired with tights and this pair of Black boots and we have  a cute fall outfit.
I've always been meaning to get her a pair of rain boots and this Leopard and pink one is just perfect.
Burgundy is a great color for fall and these Flats will go well with just about anything in her closet.
Since we're now in NC, I'm hopefully not anticipating a subzero degrees winter. So, this Quilted Jacket will get lots of use during the fall and winter season.
What I think she'll really enjoy is this Pink Trike. It's 4-in-1 so we'll definitely be using it for years to come. Well worth the price.
Eliana loves bags and enjoys carrying them. She currently uses a cross body bag that she carries like a hand bag but I think she'll love this Owl Backpack for her daily essential.I know I love it!
Another great causal fall dress is this Midi dress that I wish they have in my size. Again paired with boots and we have a perfect falls outfit.
Considering the pieces I just added to her closet, I think they'll be a whole lot of dresses and boots this fall.
Last but not least, It is officially time to start potty training. Although, she's been picking it up here and there and we've been using the potty since she was about a year and half, we're not consistent with it and she may or may not think using her potty is funny. :)
This Potty doll will be perfect for a show-and-tell.

Hi loves!
Happy Monday. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
Since moving to NC with Eliana, we haven't been doing much on weekends. Scratch that we haven't been doing anything. With the exception of Labor day weekend when hubby was in town. So, this weekend after tackling both of our hair and getting majority of the work done on Friday evening, we had some time to spare for the weekend. We decided to both get dressed up and head out. On Saturday, we grabbed lunch together. While I munch on my pizza, Eliana happily munched on her animal crackers. After lunch we headed to the movies to watch Inside out. I think we both enjoyed it. Eliana is becoming a pretty good movie goer. On Sunday, after church, we went to the park where she enjoyed her favorites slide, ran across the field and made a new friend.
That's not to say next weekend we won't be lazy bums and spend the weekend in the house.

So,on to the outfit.  Thanks to my sister, it made it to my closet. As you may or may not know, Asos just had a big sales event. What that means for me is that of course I have the tendency to go a little overboard, so I called my trusted sister for reinforcement; to keep me sane and filter down my endless shopping cart. Amongst other items that made it home, this set was a "got to have" on her list so here it is. And, I must say I agree. I mean I don't currently own any short co-ord/suit and the jacket will definitely get a lot of use as the weather gets cooler.
For this outfit I paired it with a black Cami and and styled for both flats and highs.
Enjoy!

Hi loves!
Hope you enjoyed your long Labor day weekend.
Hubby was in town of course. Eliana and I couldn't be more excited to have him around for 4 whole days. You could tell Eliana was really excited, there was less acting up and scorning her and she was more giggly, jumpy and all around excited having daddy around. I guess the fact that we spent those days together; no work, no daycare made her even more excited. We spent the weekend catching up, binge watching shows, eating and just enjoying each other company's because that's a treasure these days. We also made it to the movie theater with Eliana to watch War Room. The movie is definitely a must see, very powerful, it's more than a movie. Eliana was well behaved, way better experience than the first time we took her to the movies with us.
Of course reality kicked in when we had to drop hubby off back at the airport and Tuesday rolled in.
Nonetheless, a great weekend.

Till next time. Have a great week!

Letter to My 21 Months Old Sweet Elaina

.
A little late on this post, but better late than never.

My dear Eliana, in just under 3 months, you’ll become a 2 years old. How time really flies. Like I say in almost all my letters to you, it’s been a true joy watching grow and becoming the little lady full of love, joy and funky personality. Your daddy and I are truly blessed to have you in our lives.
So what are you up to at 21 months….
You’re love to say “mommy-mommy” not just mommy
.
You love to say hi to strangers, really loud with a wave. You also spark up random conversation with them, both little kids and adults if they are in close proximity.
You now say and understand the concept of thank you. You even say if for us when we send you on an errand and forget to say thank you.
You said you first sentence” go to mommy” talking to one of your friends
You randomly tell family members I love you. You don’t say it when prompted, only when you feel like it, which makes it even more special
And for some reason, you had a phase where you were sleeping more in our bed than yours. You cling so tight to mommy with absolutely no space between us. That seems to be the only way you're able to fall asleep. That gradually stopped
You say and love grandma
.
You’re still a picky eater, only expanding your menu to include your obsession with chips and anything in a shinny sealed package. Yap, that went away real fast.
You know some of your body parts; head, eyes, tummy, nose, mouth.
You can recite A to D and count 1 to 3
You love shoes. A girl after my heart :)
You call milk, “meee” and now shake your head to say no or say the word NO
You love being outdoor
Your understanding of Yoruba is improving on daily basis
And you’re pretty much mimicking everything you see us do.

You moved to NC! started a new daycare and you seem to be well adjusted to you teachers and new friends.

We love you sweet Eliana. Keep growing, keep shinning and keep making our hearts smile.

Mommy-mommy

Hi....

Hi Loves,
I think it's time to remove the cobwebs around here. Let's dust off and pick up right where we left off.
Sorry for my little hiatus. Hope you didn't miss me too much :) So a lot has changed  since my last post. In a nut shell, we moved. Yea, major big move and changes. New job, new state, new everything.
We're now residents  of North Carolina. Said a bitter sweet goodbye to New Jersey. Jersey was really good to us and will always be a part of us.

You can imagine all that comes with a move like this, so that explains  my absence.  I'm back now but post might still be sporadic as I adjust to our new living and schedule.
NC has been good to us so far and we feel welcomed. Here's to a new start.
Talk to you soon.

Dash of Pink

Hello Loves!
Happy Monday!
Hope you enjoyed your weekend. Weekend over here was wet and active, hopping from event to the other in the non relentless rain. Finally got a bit of sunshine on Sunday.
Wore this dress couple of weeks ago to church and I just happened to be twinning with someone else. She had the same fabric but different style, I posted a pic on my Instagram. That was a nice coincidence. Love the simplicity of the dress and the dash of pink on the neck and waist line. This dress is definitely an inspiration for a future DIY.
Enjoy your day!

Stripe & Midi Skirt

.
Hello loves!
Hope you enjoyed your weekend. I enjoyed mine, celebrating my sister's birthday and watching Eliana put on a show for everyone.

One can never have too many midi skirt, right? Although, this is an old piece, and no, this was not made by me; I can't resist the urge to add more full midi skirts to my closet. I wore this same skirt here on the blog. Going for a somewhat casual look, paired it with my boxy sheer stripe crop top and red sandals and bag.
Have a great week!

Hi Loves!
Happy Monday! Hope you enjoyed your weekend. My was great. I attended the annual Women's Conference at my church and it was a great time in God's presence. Eliana and hubby enjoyed some time in the park while I was away. Spent the rest of the weekend doing some planning and resting.

This top is definitely an attention grabber. When I saw it, there was no thinking twice. It's unique enough that you just can't pass it up. Although, the fact that it is a crop top and it is sheer did cross my mind. These could be easily solved by pairing it with a high-waisted skirt or pant and throwing a black tank top underneath, which was exactly what I did. I was originally saving it for our vacation sometime this summer but I  just couldn't resist. I choose to pair it with this black peplum skirt. The skirt has its own unique feature but doesn't take away from the top, the main focus of the outfit. Completed the outfit with my candy colored clutch to compliment the top and a minimal sandal.
Hope you're having a great day so far.
