Ruffle Wrap Top & Ruffle Hem Skirt

Hi Loves! Happy Monday!

I hope you had a nice weekend. I was on solo parenting duties, so it was a chilled weekend for us.
We started off with swim class and afterwards, lots of eating, napping, playing and cuddling. We ventured off to the store to pick up some essentials for the week to end our Saturday.

If you know me well enough, then you know I don't like taking the kids to the store with me, but with no other option, I had to and it turned out to be a a great fun little trip with them.
As soon as we parked in the parking lot, it started pouring, so, we waited in the car instead of heading back home and did some photo shoot, karaoke and let Emmanuel practice his driving skills which included lots of honking.
I truly wonder where he got that from because I barely, honestly barely use my honk. I even forget sometimes that I have one.
While I barely got anything serious on my to-do list done, It is nice to have a chill weekend every now and then and not be so much on the go.
Ruffles on Ruffles, who would have thought, but this pair makes a nice combination.
This is my second time styling this skirt. The first I shared on my Instastory paired with a white tank. This time I decided to elevate it just a bit and turn things around, literally. The belt on the skirt is meant to be tied in the front but I decided to switch it up and tie in it the back. Also, given the top has a tie in front, it would have been too much.
I find myself lately buying and trying pieces I typically shy away from, namely, crop tops, body suits, and open back. I am finding there are ways to style crop tops without being over exposed pass my comfort level, just like this outfit.
With crop tops, the key is to always pair with high-waisted bottoms or bottoms that can at least be worn high-waisted if desired, like this skirt.
So, if you ever see that crop top (granted this top is not on the extreme side of "crop") that you love so much, don't shy away from it. Consider your options for bottoms before saying no to the top.
This top is absolutely perfect for summer with the floral print and ruffle v-neckline, it can be dressed up or down or somewhere in between with this styling here. Picturing myself on a brunch date with someone, anyone, as long as it is brunch.
Have a wonderful week!

Maxi Green Dress

Hi loves!
I hope you had a great weekend. Mine felt short but nonetheless still a great weekend.

So, let's talk about this dress for a minute. You've probably seen it around on a few people and there is a reason for that. This dress is perfect in that it has it all! A full flair tiered maxi dress, with pockets and although it comes in blue as well, there is just something about the green version that hits and stands out.

I knew I couldn't pass it up and for under $40 it will be a classic stable in my closet and probably make an appearance every summer. I might even take it for a ride during the cooler months; belted, a sweater or blazer over it and paired with some booties.

But first, looking forward to rocking it more this summer!

Have a splendid day!
